Asteria is the new lamp designed by Alberto+Francesco Meda for Foscarini: arms with a curved profile made of extruded aluminium are connected to a central cylindrical element

30/10/2025 – The archetype of the chandelier is reborn in Asteria, the new Foscarini suspension lamp designed by Alberto + Francesco Meda which reduces the compositional elements of the traditional chandelier to a minimum. A synthesis between function and decorum is expressed in an essential and rigorous formal language where soft curvatures combine with the dynamic arrangement of the elements.

It offers multiple configurations, from the single-level version with six arms, available in three different sizes, to the special Multi version, which features eighteen arms arranged across three staggered, overlapping levels for a stunning dynamic effect (available upon request). Its scenic presence and understated minimalism are enhanced by two distinctive colour options, dark red and titanium, making it a true centrepiece in any space.

A semi-transparent screen extending to the edges guides the light diffusion upwards, creating a comfortable, reflected ambient light. At the same time, it highlights the profile of the arms to either side, tracing a subtle luminous line that appears to float in space.

Thanks to the set-up for dual switching, the luminous emission of the arms and the spotlight can be controlled and dimmed separately, offering the freedom to create different atmospheres according to the needs of the moment and the space.
